Roto roof window solutions - optimal combination for saving energy

Whether renovating or building a new home: the choice of building elements can set the course for energy-saving living. Roto Frank roof system technology supports this with triple-glazed roof windows and equipment that can be integrated into the Smart Home system and controlled automatically. This enables pleasantly tempered and energy-efficient living at any time of year.

The Roto Designo i8 Comfort top-hung window and the Designo external roller shutter, for example, form an ideal combination. The roof window is available in various glazing types with special sound insulation and anti-dew coating. The "triple premium" glass type achieves thermal insulation values of U_g = 0.60 on the pane and U_w = 0.86 for the entire roof window. Energy-efficient, safe and simple installation is also supported thanks to the pre-assembled thermal insulation block, foil connection, installation brackets and crane and support brackets. The roof window also impresses with its long service life thanks to its proven premium quality. For example, it has a fiber-reinforced plastic hollow chamber profile with steel reinforcement and is therefore particularly robust.

Complemented by the Designo external roller shutter, winner of the TÜV Rheinland comparison test in 2020, the double-walled aluminum slats can also be used to stop cold, heat and disturbing light in front of the window pane. The equipment solution can even remain completely closed when the skylight is fully open. The Designo Solar version also includes a solar module with "Easy Charge" function, which allows customers to remove the battery themselves and charge it using a micro USB cable. This ensures that the system remains reliably ready for use at all times.

Saving energy in the smart home

Both the Designo i8 Comfort and the Designo external roller shutter are "Smart Home ready" and ideally suited for home automation. This significantly increases living comfort and energy efficiency. The Roto premium solutions can be opened and closed according to individual requirements simply by time or temperature control using predefined commands in the smart home system. Smartphone/tablet, smartwatch, voice command or the Roto wall or hand transmitter can also be used for operation. The Designo i8 Comfort is also equipped with a rain sensor and closes automatically as soon as wetness is detected.
